Abstract

Since the outbreak of COVID - 19, medical workers have been fearless and healing the wounded and the dying, carrying forward medical humanities, practicing kindness and benevolence, serving people's health whole heartedly and winning high praise from the whole society. This major public health emergency has also provided a new perspective for medical humanities education, prompting us to think deeply about the ancient proposition of medical students' professional ethics and humanistic spirit cultivation. By analyzing the current situation of medical humanities education and the existing problems in China, this study summarized the reform and exploration on the medical humanistic education content and methods in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University during the epidemic prevention and control of the COVID - 19, which enriched the theory and practice of medical humanistic education in medical colleges and universities, so as to improve the quality and effect of medical humanistic education in the future.
