Optimal Beam-Steering Mode Calibration Method for Planar Arrays

Abstract

This paper presents a beam-steering mode calibration method optimal for uniform planar arrays (UPAs). Through rigorous theoretical analysis, the method demonstrates orthogonal beams optimal in terms of estimation accuracy and provides a comprehensive solution for determining these orthogonal beams. The effectiveness and performance of presented calibration method are validated through extensive simulations.
