Abstract

The more efficient use of by-product gases has always been a hot issue in the iron and steel making process. Usually, the blast furnace will need some unplanned blowing down, and the length of horizon could not be get at the starting. The blast furnace gas supplies for the boiler will be affected. Based on online theory and taking this case as the background, present online strategy and given the competitive ratio of the strategy, then prove it to be optimal competitive strategy. Then the data from a certain iron and steel enterprise are collected to test the competitive ratio of online strategy. The online strategy effectively reduces the total cost of boiler during the blast furnace blowing down. The model and result of the study have guiding significance and reference value for decision makers facing the similar situation.
