Abstract
There are many persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in organic halogenated compounds. Especially in polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), pollution of the surrounding environment must be strictly prevented, giving a strong imperative for the development of real-time measurement technology for PCBs concentration monitoring. In this report, laser Ionization / dynamic trapping / time of flight mass spectrometry was carried out on gaseous PCBs. A detecting sensitivity of 0.01 mg/m3N, equivalent to 1/10 of the limit specified by regulatory requirements, was achieved.
