Abstract
Ferroics include a range of materials classes with functionalities such as magnetism, polarization, and strain. We review coexistence and glassy behavior, as studied over the last decade, in systems such as perovskite manganites, ferroelectrics, and martensites to distil a common theme that includes the interplay of long-range interactions, disorder, and cooperative behavior.
