Abstract
The study aims to clarify turbulent flame characteristics. The method involves a saturated fluorescence technique with a detailed transfer model of OH in A2Σ+-X2II electronic levels. This new technique was used to measure one-dimensional OH concentration profile quantitatively by single -shot laser irradiation. Mean, RMS, and PDF values of OH concentration were measured in Re =5 000 and 1 500 hydrogen diffusion flames. OH radical visualization was also employed to elucidate the flame- front nature in turbulent diffusion flames.
