Abstract
The MPS-MAFL hybrid method was used to solve numerically the Burgers equation. The details of the algorithm are presented and the computation results are in good agreement with the analytical solution. The influence of varying the number of particles and the interaction radius between particles are discussed on the accuracy of computation. It is shown that the MPS-MAFL method has high stability and universality in solving the Burgers equation, and also is easy to be implemented.
