Abstract

The falling film thickness on the horizontal tube is one of the important parameters reflecting the liquid flowing outside the tube of the horizontal-tube falling film evaporator. In this paper, the influencing factors on the subcooled liquid flowing outside the tube of the horizontal-tube falling film evaporator were studied by calculating the falling film thickness under different situation. The study shows that the effect of flow rate and the vertical tube spacing on the flowing outside the tubes at the bottom of the evaporator is more obvious; To enlarge the number of the tube rows between which the liquid flows in column mode, the flow rate and the vertical tube spacing which work reversely on the number of the tube rows must be considered synchronously.
