Numerical modeling of crazing process in glassy polymer

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Crazing is a kind of special nonlinear deformation in polymers. In representative volume element (RVE) of glassy polymer, several craze elements strip are embedded and the crazing model in glassy polymer is simulated with finite element method. The graph of maximum principal stress vector indicates the modeling is appropriate, and the style of crazing progress shows a satisfied agreement with the experimental phenomena.
