Abstract
An attempt is made to demonstrate how crystalline layered superlattices with periodicities of several hundred angstroms can be produced by self-assembly of long-chain molecules. Further, binary alkanes with chain lengths differing by up to 100 C atoms displaying molecular miscibility and a stable semicrystalline phase are described.
