abstract = "B-mode imaging for the guidance and monitoring of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment mostly relies on the appearance of a hyperechoic region. The hyperechoic region integrates the information from both thermal lesions and cavitation bubbles, making it difficult to visualize thermal lesion formation. In this paper, an approach of ultrasound imaging based on wavelet transform (UIWT) is proposed to enhance the contrast between thermal lesions and cavitation bubbles induced by HIFU, and the efficiency of this approach is evaluated on a transparent tissue-mimicking phantom at various acoustic parameters.",
