Abstract
A new model to describe a dense liquid-solid two phase turbulent flow named the KεT model is proposed, in which the random motion of a collection of particles is taken into account. The governing equations for the two phase turbulent flow are derived. The numerical simulation of the dense liquid-solid turbulent flow in a vertical pipe is performed. It has been shown that the results predicted by the model are in agreement with the experimental data given by Alabegovic
