Abstract

In order to track and measure the weak, small, multiple and high speed moving targets, a new kind of high speed cinecamera with a gated intensifier has been developed. The techniques of image intensifying, laser illmuminating, electric shuttering and high speed photographing have been used, so the cinecamera has several advantages, such as high light gain, good imaging quality and long measuring distance. The system has a gated intensifier and gating circuit with an adjustable gating time of 1 Approximately 300μs and adnjustable photography frequency of 1 Approximately 100 frames per second. It is non - lens coupling method that we have solved the two problems - electrostatic discharge and dynamic friction between the film and the optic fiber faceplate. The resolution has been improved by using a coupling optic fiber plate with low numerical aperture. The highspeed motion of the film is intermittent because of the intermission mechanism for transporting film being used. The measuring results on static, dynamic and laser illuminating operation are also discussed in this paper.
