Multi-scale adjustment for design earthquake accelerogram by wavelet package

Abstract

Wavelet package is introduced to adjust for design earthquake accelerogram in different scales. Compared with classic wavelet technique, the method can adjust not only the low frequency components of earthquake wave, but also the high frequency components. This makes the approach more versatile and realistic for time-frequency analysis and seismic protection design of architectural structures.
