Abstract
A new approach is proposed for dealing with multi-attribute group decision-making problem with linguistic assessment information. In this approach, the 2-tuple linguistic representation and computational model are first used to aggregate the linguistic information. Then group consistency and inconsistency indices are defined and a linear programming model is constructed to determine the positive ideal solution and weights of attributes. The distance of each alternative to the positive ideal solution is calculated to determine the ranking order of alternatives. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity and rationality of the proposed method.
