Abstract
By summarizing and comparing existing proportional-resonant controllers, this paper proposes the generalized proportional-resonant (GPR) controller which is expressed in a more general form. GPR controllers contain three configurable control parameter, and existing proportional-resonant controllers are proved to be instances of GPR controllers with specific control parameters. Conventional proportional-resonant controller only provided one or two tunable control parameters, and show limited capability to place the system closed-loop poles. In contrast, GPR controllers provide three tunable control parameters and could place the system closed-loop poles in a more flexible way. By further combining with the delay state feedback, GPR controller can provide the capability to place the closed-loop poles to any desired position. Experimental results are shown to demonstrate the analysis.
