Abstract
The condensation process of the vapor at high temperature on a solid surface at low temperature, which is widely utilized in engineering application, was simulated and studied with non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulation method in this paper. The profiles of the density and the local temperature were obtained and analyzed. The effects of the external force field perpendicular to the solid surface and the temperature difference on the condensation were also observed. The results show that when the external force is normal to and towards the surface, the condensation will be strengthened, and vice versa. The condensation is affected more markedly with the increase of the external force at constant temperature difference or with the decrease of the temperature difference in constant external force field.
