Modified droplet turbulent diffusion model in horizontal oil/gas transport pipeline

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

One modified droplet turbulent diffusion model was proposed by taking consideration of the effect of shear lift force on the droplet terminal settling velocity, meanwhile the effects of local relative slip between droplet and its carrying fluid together with the interface roughness of liquid film were considered. Applying this model, the average calculated error of decay coefficient for droplet diffusion is reduced greatly from 28.2% to 16.8% for oil-gas two-phase flow.
