Modelling study on CHF in narrow rectangular channel with longitudinal vortex generator

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

With relative long influence distance and simple structure, the longitudinal vortex generators(LVGs) can be used in narrow channels with at surface. On the basis of an annular flow prediction model for Critical Heat Flux(CHF) and a heat transfer model respectively used in smooth and ribbed circular tube, a new CHF prediction model in rectangular narrow channel with 4 pairs of block LVGs is developed, and this model is validated by comparing with the present experimental data. The predictive accuracy of this model is good.
