Abstract

Based on professional software Saber, combined with MAST language programming, main circuit model and control circuit model of direct drive variable speed constant frequency wind power system were established in the paper. The simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of direct drive variable speed constant frequency wind power system. Based on the assumption that switching period is much smaller than the simulation time and output filters are designed well, neglecting switching effort in power electronic system to some extent is an effective way if taking time and speed into consideration, then the average model of the system was derived. At last, the feasibility and validity of average model were verified through the comparison between simulation results.
