Abstract
A model predictive controller design for a remotely operated flight vehicle (ROFV) is presented in this paper. The ROFV is known as Subzero III. The system characteristics of Subzero III were qualitatively examined. This provides the basis why a SISO model predictive control (MPC) scheme can be used for the control of Subzero III. The controller design was implemented with the MPC Toolbox. On-line optimisation in the use of MPC for ROFV was analysed. The influence of different tuning parameters is discussed based on simulations. Conclusions are given in the end.
