Abstract
A feasible method to speedily develop mechanical product virtual prototype considering tribological behavior was presented. In the method, a solid modeling software such as Ideas, Pro-E is applied to build solid models for every part, a finite element analysis software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN is applied to process modal analysis to create flexible solid models for all parts, and the mechanical system dynamics analysis software ADAMS is applied to build a product system model through assembling all flexible solid models. Based on the system model, the tribological behavior simulating Fortran programs and other discipline behavior simulating programs are integrated in the system model to realize the mechanical product virtual prototype which possess the function of tribological behavior simulating. Finally, the development of the virtual prototype of cylinder-piston-crank system validated the feasibility of the method.
