Abstract
Dear readers, it is a great privilege for me to introduce myself as the incoming Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM). I still remember the day back to November 16, 2020, when Shervin wrote to me that he is proposing me as the next EiC of TIM pending approval of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society's (IMS) Administrative Committee (AdCom), and I accepted without any hesitation, as we discussed various issues related to the role of EiC before his proposal. As a TIM Associate Editor since 2012, as well as an Associate EiC in both 2019 and 2020, and later a Senior Area Editor in 2021, I have seen the continued improvement that TIM has experienced during the past ten years, thanks to Alessandro and Shervin for their effort in emphasizing quality. Of course, this is not possible without the vision that Reza has implemented for TIM starting from 2007.
