Abstract
Nowadays, research on tumor-related long non-coding RNAs is still at its infancy. However, growing evidence shows that long non-coding RNAs are involved in the invasion, metastasis and prognosis of tumor, but there is limited knowledge about the transcriptional regulation of these molecules. Here, we described the expression pattern of long non-coding RNAs in tissues and cells and evaluated its relationship with tumor invasion, metastasis and prognosis of human cancers. Also, we summarized the status quo of studies on the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of long non-coding RNAs in order to provide an insight for future development of this rapidly advancing field.
