Abstract

The laminar flame speed of the CH4/CO/air mixture was measured by the Bunsen burner system. And the system was improved and a more effective and accurate flame image processing method was found. The formula by which the laminar flame speed of premixed gas can be obtained was provided, and then chemical kinetic data including apparent activation energy, reaction order, and frequency factor can be calculated by this model. The correction factors needed under experimental conditions with different equivalence ratios were also computed. The laminar burning data of the CH4/CO single component and mixture served as an example. The predictions of the model were compared with the experimental results, which are in good agreement with each other.
