Abstract
The temperature field for polyetheretherketone pins subjected to pin-on-disc friction and wear test was measured on pin-disc tester. It was found that the temperatures of the pins are approximately uniform at the same circumference. The cross section temperatures increase with the increase of PV values. The temperatures of the pins which are lowered by blast air and alcohol dropping can keep constant, so the friction and wear test would be performed under constant temperature.
