Abstract

A coaxial transmission and reflection method can be used to measure microwave permittivity of high-loss material. Where a ring sample was put into a coaxial line, thus we can calculate the permittivity from experimental data of the scattering coefficients. The basic principle and testing system were introduced. Microwave permittivity of a paraffin-based mixture was measured. We calculated the permittivity of a ceramic material through a modified Bruggeman model.
