Local pressure drop characteristics of oil-gas-water flower around 90° pipe elbow

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Experimental investigation is made for the three-phase flow of oil, gas and water entering horizontally into a 90° pipe elbow with a vertical exit. The pipe inner diameter is 45 mm and the bend radius is 300 mm. The observed local pressure characteristics can be divided into three regions, and each of which is analyzed. Semi-empirical correlations are made for representing the local pressure drop data.
