Abstract

Molten salt is an important heat transfer fluid in concentrated solar system, and the phase diagram of molten salt mixture is one of the main factors for its screening. The phase diagram of Li2CO3-Na2CO3-K2CO3 was predicted and calculated based on the Gibbs free energy and thermodynamic principles. The results show that the eutectic point of the molten salt mixture is 421.2 ℃, and the mass fractions of Li2CO3, Na2CO3 and K2CO3 are 25.89%, 22.50% and 51.61%, respectively. Then, the melting point of calculated ratio and different ratios were measured by differential thermal analysis method. The relative deviation is 1.9 ℃, which verifies the accuracy of the calculation method.
