Abstract
The kinetic characteristics were analyzed and the calculating equations of absolute and relative velocities were derived for internal-meshing rotary compressors. Moreover, based on the analyzing method of inter-meshing cycloid gears, the friction efficiency was applied to obtain the calculating method of the meshing efficiency. The result shows that the meshing efficiency is related to not only the structural parameters of the rotor profiles, but also the contact forces between meshing points, which is quite different from that of the inter-meshing cycloid gear. It appears that the meshing efficiency can not be obtained until the force distributions are determined.
