Abstract
Two direct integration models of polytropic head analysis are presented, and the program codes are developed. It is found that the models of direct integration procedure are more accurate than that of average polytropic exponent in the polytropic head calculation. When the pressure ratio being large, the direct integration method still keeps higher accuracy while the error of the model of averaged polytropic exponent obviously increases even by over 4%.
