Investigation of PIN-PMN-PT single-crystal based whispering gallery mode resonator

Abstract

A new type of electro-optic crystal (PIN-PMN-PT) has been discovered. It has similar transmission wavelength range and transmittance with the traditional lithium niobate crystal. It has higher electro-optic coefficient and refractive index than lithium niobate crystal. We used this material to make a disk-shaped whispering gallery structure and studied.
