Abstract

Thermally stimulated current (TSC) measurement is a powerful tool for the investigation of charge storage and transport process in dielectrics. The basic theory of TSC is introduced in this paper. The limitation of the traditional TSC theory is analyzed. The long-existing problems and misunderstandings in TSC application and theory are discussed. The modified TSC theory and some new ideas about TSC experiment are proposed to extend its application in both width and depth.
