Abstract
A nonlinear model is presented for the rotor supported by an axial active magnetic bearing without any premagnetization bias current. A nonlinear controller based on dynamic feedback is designed to linearize and improve the axial system. Simulations are employed to verify the scheme presented. The energy consumption in the axial magnetic bearing with unilateral operate model is reduced and is lower than that of the difference configuration with premagnetization bias current.
