Influence of shape error of rotor measurement section on vibration testing

Abstract

To effectively identify the illusory components in vibration signal, both rotor vibration signal of rotor with ideal shape at measurement section and illusory signal generated due to the typical shape error at measurement section are analyzed to summarize the signal characteristics adopting holospectrum method. Simultaneously, the influences on real vibration signal from shape error at measurement section and the characteristics of real vibration signal of rotor are discussed. The results are verified by the analysis of experimental and practical signals to provide a new method for actual monitoring and diagnosis of rotary machinery.
