Influence of high-frequency grounding technology on PD detecting in generator

Abstract

In the PD detecting system of the generator with the high-voltage capacitance couple, the sensitivity of the system has closely relation with both the way of grounding of the shielding layer near the coupler of cable and the location of the detecting resistance. Through the simulating experiment in the laboratory and the on-site experiment, several results can be concluded. It not only makes the signals of PD weakening greatly but also probably introduces interference by the way of grounding directly. It can improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the system and the ability of anti-interference through the way of High-Frequency grounding. The sensitivity will be higher if the detecting resistance is mounted near the capacitance couple.
