N2 - Based on the elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) theory, the EHL mathematical model of point contact for angular contact ball bearing is established. The comprehensive calculating method and its corresponding program were given for calculating the maximum pressure and minimum thickness of oil film in angular contact ball bearing. Taking 7006 bearing as an example, the results show that, compared with full-steel and full ceramic angular contact ball bearing, oil film is the thickest in hybrid ceramic angular contact ball bearing, oil film pressure is the least in hybrid ceramic angular contact ball bearing, temperature rise is the lowest in full ceramic angular contact ball bearing; comprehensive analysis shows that lubrication property of hybrid ceramic angular contact ball bearing is best in these three kinds of angular contact ball bearings. In order to investigate the effect of different ceramic materials parameters on bearing EHL, six kinds of full ceramic bearings are further analyzed. Oil film is the thickest in bearing with SiC ball and ZrO2 ring; oil film pressure is minimum in bearing with SiC ball and ZrO2 ring, temperature rise is the lowest in bearing with Si3N4 ball and ring. Analysis shows that, the ball density has great influence on bearing EHL because of speed effect; synthetic elasticity modulus is also an important factor, the bigger synthetic elastic modulus is, the thicker film thickness is, however, too high elasticity modulus leads to stress concentration, which also make the pressure rise; it is also found that specific heat capacity has the most influence on bearing temperature rise.
