Abstract

The principle of interferometer for measuring the electron density of plasma was described. HCN laser, its output modes and the propagation of EH11 mode in free space were studied. Improvement of 7-channel FIR HCN laser interferometer and its new measured results were presented. Some important problems in previous optical system were solved, such as the simplification of optical path above the window, the improvement of adjusting system of the rotating grating assembly, and the signal increases at about one order after improving.
