Abstract

Resonance seriously affects power quality and stable operation of power grid. Resonance modal analysis (RMA) provides a convenient way for locating the resonance frequency. However, the modal frequency sensitivity calculation process is complex and its relationship between each component has not been studied. In this paper. A parallel RLC branch is used to improve the implementation of modal frequency sensitivity. Then, the relationship between modal frequency sensitivity and each component and resonance frequency is analyzed. The proposed improved method provides guidance for suppressing resonance and resonance frequency shift.
