Abstract

Reheat steam temperature is one of the most important parameters which needs high accuracy controlling during load cycling processes. Studies on the control effects of reheat steam temperature with two different control strategies during transient processes have been done in this paper. The energy consumption characteristics of the power plant during load cycling processes are analyzed in detail. The calculation results show that: the tilting burner method has advantages over regulating the opening of the baffle in the boiler tail flue method. With the tilting burner method, the temperature overshoot and the average standard coal consumption rate are less. During loading up processes, with the increasing in load cycling rate, the difference in the average coal consumption rate declines gradually, and the maximum value of the difference is 0.59 g•kW-1•h-1. While for loading down process, the difference in average standard coal consumption increases with the load cycling rate, and the maximum value of the difference is 0.11 g•kW-1•h-1.
