Abstract

The transient response of a bi-piezoelectric ceramic containing a interfacial crack to crack surface impact loadings was investigated assuming a state of generalized plane deformation. Governing equations, boundary conditions and continuity conditions along the interface are reduced to four singular integral equations that can be solved by the use of Jacobi polynomials. The singularity orders are the same as that in static problem.
