Abstract

The series of mixed powders in (1-x)PMN-xPT(x = 0.10 ∼ 0.85) binary system have been prepared. The thermal properties above 1000°C of these powders were studied by DTA. There are an endothermic reaction corresponding to melting process and an exothermic reaction above melting temperature for all of the powders upon heating. The melting temperatures decease and the temperatures of exothermic reaction are almost the same around 1360-1370°C with increasing PT content. In order to get the information of phase structure at high temperature, the quench samples were analyzed by XRD. Combination the DTA results and XRD results, the high temperature phase diagram is suggested. It will guide single crystal growth.
