Abstract

Graphene oxide (GO) is the most widely used precursor for graphene materials because of its excellent processibility and unique solution chemistry. In a GO solution, the solvent provides a specific chemical environment to affect the conversion of GO into graphene materials. Herein, we report that organic solvents are good media for producing graphene materials with improved properties. Particularly, organic solvents can increase the dispersibility and conductivity of chemically reduced GO (rGO), and enhance the efficiency of doping rGO with nitrogen atoms.
