Abstract
An energy integration method is developed for batch processes after analyzing characteristics of the previous system integration. This is an improvement of the Kempcascade analysis. Time temperature cascade analysis and heuristic approach are applied to design the batch process energy integration. The heat storage frequency and heat rejecting time intervals are determined. The energy degradation of heat storage is considered such that the energy requirement can satisfy the practical engineering demands.
