Abstract
Objective: To study the STR genetic structure of Yugu ethnic group in Gansu Province. Methods: Distribution for nine STR loci was determined in a Chinese Yugu ethnic group based on STR genescan marked by fluorescence. Results: Sixty-five alleles and 178 genotypes were observed in 120 unrelated Chinese Yugu individuals, with the corresponding gene frequency and genotype frequency being 0. 0057 - 0. 5795 and 0.0114 - 0. 3068, respectively. The genotypes of nine STR loci were in accordance with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P>0.05). The statistical analysis of 9 STR loci showed PIC (polymorphism information content)≥ 0.6054, H (heterozygosity) ≥0. 6158, DP (discrimination power) ≥0. 8226, EPP (probabilities of paternity exclusion) ≥0. 5017. Conclusion: These results enrich the Chineses genetic database and play an important role in Chinese population genetic study and forensic medicine application.
