Abstract

Almost all the Uigurs are found in Xinjiang Uigur Autonomous Region that covers more than 1,709,400 square kilometers or approximately one sixth of China's total landmass, Uigers are mainly agricultural Turkic people, and they believe in Islam. Its national characters and languages belong to the Altai phylum and Turkic branch.
