Abstract
Detailed domestic electricity load profiles are important for small-scale distributed electricity generation and plans for DSM. They can be generated with top-down or bottom-up models. However, in those models all kinds of data sets are needed. In this work we propose a simple method, which can be used to generate thousands of load profiles only from different appliances' average hourly load profiles. Different load profiles are determined by appliances' different activating moments of energy use. These different activating moments can be randomly generated from the probability distributions extracted from the average hourly load profiles. The constructed load profiles are at a higher time resolution than the average data for different households or appliances. The case studies show that changes appear in load profiles from activating moments of appliances. The load profiles for households can cover electricity consumption of most of the domestic appliances.
