Abstract
In this review, a brief summary on the recent progress of fluorescent platinum(II) metallacycle-cored polymers was presented. Based on the interactions used to connect the metallacycles, they were classified as fluorescent platinum(II) polymers constructed by covalent bonds, non-covalent bonds and dynamic covalent bonds. Through the incorporation of different functional groups and rational selection of different connection methods, their photophysical properties, solubilities, processabilities can be finely tuned, which greatly influence their functions and applications. We believe that this review will give the readers a snapshot of this promising area and encourage more scientists to develop fluorescent platinum(II) metallacyclecored polymers as functional materials.
