Abstract

Overall design for the liquid hydrogen circulator was proposed, according to the working conditions of CSNS hydrogen circulator. Research was conducted on the structure of the impeller and insulation. Simulation results show, large separation bubbles appeared at the inlet and outlet of the impeller meridian plane, which affects the efficiency of hydrogen circulator. Cantilevered extended shaft was adopted for the insulation structure, and the axial heat loss of the hydrogen circulator can satisfy its requirement well.
