Abstract
Underwater explosive composite technology is an advanced production method to achieve composite pipe of dissimilar materials. The nonlinear finite element software was used to simulate forming process of underwater explosion for bimetal composite pipe. The installation technology and forming process of underwater explosion composite for bimetal composite pipe wee expounded in detail. Finite element model of bimetal composite pipe by underwater explosive forming was established based on the platform of ANSYS/LS-DYNA. As an example, numerical simulation of underwater explosive forming process for bimetal composite pipe was carried out to analyze composite dynamic process, key node displacement of liner tube and base tube, and stress and strain distribution in composite pipe. The effects of main process parameters of underwater explosion composite on bonding strength of composite pipe was researched by the method of controlling variables. Finally, the numerical results were verified through experiments. The result shows that finite element model can effectively simulate the underwater explosion composite process of bimetal pipe.
